COVID 19 NOTICE - Updated 2022-07-26
Sadleir House follows all federal and provincial health guidelines and looks to the experts in our local public health authority when making decisions that affect accessibility to the house. As of June 20th 2022, Trent University made masking optional on campus. Masking is also optional at Sadleir House, however we do recommend wearing a mask during indoor community events and in other congregate settings in the house.
Access to the main house is currently limited to Trent University undergraduate and graduate students. Events in the John and our main floor screening room are typically public access through western most parking lot entrance. For information about our public events please visit sadleirhouse.ca/thejohn.
Our southside main entrance is fully accessible. as is our parking lot entrance. If parking as a student you will need to use the municipal sidewalk to come around to our main entrance.
The accessible washroom is separated from the main entrance lobby, our main floor study space, and the main office by a short flight of 6 steps, which is also served by a wheelchair lift.
The screening room is on the main floor and is directly adjacent to our accessible washroom.
Our upstairs study area, the Senior Common Room, is accessed by a flight of 22 steps.
The John (Our upstairs performance venue and bar) can only be accessed by a flight of 16 steps. We are currently fundraising for a new lobby, lift and upstairs accesible bathroom for the John. More information on this page soon, please direct your donations to the DONATE button above.
