Born on April 23, 1929, in Toronto, died peacefully in his final home at The Dunfield Residence on February 12, 2021.

Loving husband of Joan (Robinette), and wonderful father to Tom (Averill), Mary, and Kate (Chris). Devoted grandfather to Michael, Tess, Peter, Harry and Francis. Predeceased by his sister Nancy and survived by his dear sisters-in-law, Wendy Calder (George) and Dale Robinette.

Sadleir House is a unique cultural and educational organization that provides a meeting point for the university community and an interface between Trent and the broader Peterborough community.

Who we are

Sadleir House was founded on a philosophy of collegiality which supports ideas of informal education to enrich the lives of members of the Trent and Peterborough communities.
It is incorporated as the P. R. Community & Student Association (Sadleir House Facility) and is a registered charity and non-profit community and student organization governed by a volunteer Board of Directors.

Our staff are experienced not-for-profit and cultural professionals who manage a team of incredible Trent undergraduate students.
We maintain a turn of the century Queen Anne style Victorian mansion to accommodate dedicated public study space, rentable events rooms, and the offices of many of our communities most dynamic organizations.
