For Immediate Release: RC4G* Peterborough - RC4G* Open House & Summer 2026 Rock & Roll Camp Registration Opens on Saturday March 7th!

RC4G* Peterborough is a community group committed to creating inclusive spaces for girls & gender non-conforming youth to experience and explore rock music, gain confidence and build community. Since 2006 RC4G* Peterborough has been facilitating a range of community programming initiatives from summer camp to monthly jam sessions, community building events, skill building workshops and mentorship programs. After a brief hiatus from 2020 to 2024, RC4G* Peterborough, Sadleir House & Trent Radio joined forces to bring programming back to life with monthly Rock Block Sessions and Summer Rock & Roll Camp.

We are excited to announce that 2026 Summer Camp dates have been booked and that registration will open on Saturday March 7th. Summer Camp will take place at Sadleir House (751 George St N), and will run from July 6th to 10th. At the end of the week, campers will perform at the Big Gig on Friday July 10th at 4:30pm. This will also take place at Sadleir House in the John K Muir Dining Hall.

To celebrate and kick off the season, RC4G* Peterborough’s upcoming monthly Rock Block session will be open to the public to visit the space, meet the Rock Squad - and maybe even make some noise in the jam space. Rock Block is a monthly drop-in jam space that runs from 11am-2pm, and the upcoming sessions take place on SATURDAY MARCH 7th in the John K Muir Dining Hall at Sadleir House. 

“We’ll have instruments set up for folks to try out, a button maker and craft supplies set out, Rock Squad members in attendance to welcome folks and families who are interested in learning more about the organisation, camp and the people who make it all happen,” said Jill Staveley, RC4G* Peterborough’s Coordinator.

Campers don’t need to play or own an instrument to attend Rock Camp, all skill levels are welcome, as there is always a wide range of musical experience at camp each year. Throughout the week campers will be assigned an instrument (guitar, bass, keys or drums), and be placed in a band with other campers. They will attend workshops, instrument lessons and band practice each day where they will write and rehearse an original song.

Registration for Summer Rock & Roll Camp opens on Saturday March 7th. A $50 deposit is required at the time of registration and the cost to attend camp is $300.
